128GB USB Flash Drives, Even More!

Storage technology is developing rapidly, and bigger capacities are now compacted in smaller form factor. This is an ultimate advantage for those of you who need to travel with a large number of data but don’t feel comfortable carrying bulky portable hard drives with you. Even when portable hard drives are getting smaller, they are still too much to handle for some people. You are still facing the risk of losing or damaging your data with portable hard drive due to the fact that hard drives use moving parts in their data storing mechanism. What could be better than carrying a regular USB flash drive capable of storing 128GB of data with you at all times, right?

You can now get what you want, because flash drives are being manufactured with substantially larger capacities as we speak. Kingston is the first one to officially release their latest Data Traveler 200 with 32GB, 64GB, and whopping 128GB storage capacities. The size of these supersized flash drives? No bigger than the one you are using now, probably with only 4GB or 8GB capacity. This means Kingston has managed to increase the storage capacity by 16 times without extending the form factor of these USB flash drives at all.

Corsair Flash Voyager GT Flash Drive will also come with 128GB storage capacity. Several other manufacturers are planning to release their gigantically-capable USB flash drives soon. The price may still be a bit premium at this time, but it will surely go down to an affordable level anytime soon.
